Delivering online groups
We met with our local persistent pain support group (Camden) and another person with lived experience to discuss ideas in the initial weeks of lockdown. This led to the development of an online physiotherapy for pain management support group for people who were referred to our service for individual physiotherapy.
It was very clear that our patients wanted to be offered the choice to participate in this rather than be kept on a waiting list or worse not contacted.
The has since led to development of our MDT online group also. We have completed one physio group, and started the next, and are in the middle of the MDT group.
We are evaluating using process survey, PROMs and interviews with participants.
