Improved access and communication between physiotherapy department and MDT
I have seen communication improve between ourselves and T&O. This has greatly benefited patient care and experience, but also staff learning and morale.
We have also noticed that there have been fewer barriers to communicating with GPs and other medical colleagues, such as Radiologists and Rheumatologists. It really has made things so much easier - especially as patient's have multiple co-morbidities and challenging health needs, even before COVID is factored in.
What is needed to sustain the change?
Continue to allow easy access to other services for physiotherapy department for the patients best interests.
