Horizon 1

Telephone appointments as standard for all Physiotherapy patients and looking to roll out to the APP service. Audit underway, but initial feedback is patients are too concerned to come in to the hospital so happy for virtual advice. 

What is needed to sustain the change?

We are planning on using 'BlueJeans' platform. Group session will be using webinars.  Starting FCP and telehealth. Early stages however it is aligned with current GP practice.

Do you plan to have phone spots as standard for all patients or are you offering a choice? Are all patients going to be triaged by phone and plan from there or all manger remotely?

Hi Chris. Essentially following CSP guidelines flow chart. All triaged by phone, some discharged then, others telehealth follow up, some F2F if negative covid screening. Using 'Blue Jeans' unlike most services going for Attend Anywhere. Online appointment booking phased in with patient information. Webinars for some classes. Not worked out F2F classes re: equip decontamination yet. Also launching self referral. In for a penny!

The MSK service receives approximately 25,000 referrals pa. WE are working on a six phase return to the service so should be able to build the respective elements in as we go along. Lots to learn!
