Opportunity to use Attend Anywhere video conferencing for selected rheumatology outpatients

by Helen Linklater | May 21, 2020 | in Rheumatology

We are exploring benefits and limitations but are starting with a shielding patient who needs to be trained in self administration of sc methotrexate for inflammatory arthritis.  This promises to be helpful for patient education and to facilitate team working

We've heard of patients switched from infusions to self administration without being trained because no nurse was available to do the training. This sounds like a solution to this problem.

Yes it worked well Sue. Our patient did preview metoject training videos on youtube, but it was useful to get real time feedback. Also opportunity to ask our CNS colleague remote working at home to join consultation which enhanced the value
