Moving of Minor Injury Unit next to Fracture clinic
Simple location change, patients are still triaged by A&E front door, but if walking wounded are moved from traditional A&E to an clinic immediately adjacent to the Fracture clinic.
MIU is still run by the same staff, but they now are able to wonder over to find Ortho registrars with doors open within 15ft.
Its a great working environment, and the cross specialty teaching during this has been huge.
What is needed to sustain the change?
Space/ reorientation of clinics once elective clinics restored.
