Virtual Clinics

Telephone clinics initially deployed for all elective follow-up cases. 

Video Clinics now running (Attend Anywhere) which I have personally found very useful.

Most patients are very happy to have a consultation on-line. 

What is needed to sustain the change?

With these tools, we should look at the whole patient journey and try to re-design to take advantage of the enormous potential. 

Integrating Video Consultations with MDT / Tertiary referrals. (referring team , patient and specialist centre present at the same time remotely for example)

Access to Video Consulting software/ platforms

Integration into current or re-designed pathways

We've heard both positive and negative experiences from a patient point of view. Important not to move form face to face by default to video by default. F2F, phone and video need to be options for every appointment and choose the most appropriate. Also good video consultations are a skill.
